Although this album was released in 2010 in Australia I didn't come across it until January 2011. Just full of well written and performed catchy songs. This has been the album that I haven't tired of listening to and it is my most played.
2 Grouplove - Never Trust A Happy Song
This is just full of upbeat songs. Just makes me feel happy, although I think there might be something a bit deeper in the lyrics.
3 The Vaccines - What Did You Expect From The Vaccines
The Vaccines had teased us with singles and this album was exactly what I was expecting. Surprising how I seem to know the words to most of these songs. Good sing-along stuff!
4 Katrina Burgoyne - White Flag
This is my favourite country album. Katrina has some wonderful songs and sings them amazingly. I do enjoy the sound of Australian country music.
5 Adele -21
I just can't tire of listening to Adele's music.
6 Alessi's Ark - Time Travel
It took me a while to fully appreciate this one. Now I just keep going back to it. Very infectious.
7 Frank Turner -England Keep My Bones
I like that Many of Frank's songs have a very positive message. He is from just up the road in Winchester and it is nice to hear songs that reference the South of England.
8 Sparrow and the Workshop - Spitting Daggers
I like the distinctive sound of their songs.
9 Standard Fare - Out of Sight, Out of Town
This is a December download release and the CD isn't out until January,. A delightful combination of distinctive vocals and catchy tunes.
